Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our service providers use them for the following purposes:

Strictly necessary cookies. Required for the site to work — keeping items in your cart, keeping you logged in, and securing checkout. The site cannot function without these.

Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics, through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors find and use the site. This tells us which pages are read, how long visits last, and where traffic comes from. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Affiliate tracking cookies. If you arrive through an affiliate link, a cookie records that referral so the affiliate can be credited for a resulting purchase. [CONFIRM — name the affiliate plugin or platform.]

Advertising cookies. [CONFIRM — if Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or any advertising or remarketing tag is running on the site, describe it here. If none are running, replace this paragraph with: “We do not run advertising or remarketing tags on this site.”]

Managing Cookies

[CONFIRM — if a cookie consent banner is installed, describe how to change your choices through it here.] You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you see what cookies are stored, delete them, and block new ones:

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the store and your account from working correctly.

Global Privacy Control

Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where the law requires us to treat that signal as an opt-out request, we do so.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers. Companies that perform functions on our behalf and are permitted to use the information only for that purpose: our web host, our payment processors, our email marketing platform [CONFIRM — name it], shipping carriers, our analytics provider, and our support ticket system.

Shipping. When you order a physical product, we give your name, address, and contact details to the carrier so they can deliver it.

Affiliates. Affiliates are told that a referral converted and the commission amount. They are not given your name, address, or contact details.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of any person.

Business transfer. If the business is sold, merged, or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will post notice here if that happens.

International Transfers

We operate in the United States, and our service providers are located in the United States and elsewhere. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from the law in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires.

  • Order and transaction records — retained for at least seven years to meet tax, accounting, and warranty obligations
  • Account information — retained while your account is open. You may ask us to close it at any time
  • Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake

How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, hashed password storage, restricted access to customer records, and the use of established payment providers who handle card data under their own security obligations.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your Choices and Rights

These choices are available to everyone, regardless of where you live:

Marketing email. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and ask to be removed. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you placed.

Your account. Log in to review and update your contact details, addresses, and order history.

Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity before acting, usually by confirming you control the email address on the account. We may need to keep certain records — completed transactions, for example — where the law requires it.

Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to resolve it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Regional Privacy Rights

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority, or with the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom.

California

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to request correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no opt-out to exercise. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit.

The categories of personal information we have collected in the preceding twelve months are identifiers (name, email, postal address, telephone number, IP address), commercial information (products purchased and considered), internet activity (browsing and interaction with our site), and financial information limited to transaction records. These come from you directly and from your use of our site, and are used and disclosed for the business purposes described in this policy.

Other United States Privacy Laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and Washington — have rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising and sale of personal information. We do not engage in targeted advertising or the sale of personal information. To exercise any of these rights, or to appeal a decision we have made about a request, contact us using the details below.
