Description

Distilled water, in an open dish inside an accumulator, nothing added. The spectrograph found a signature that was not there before.

Tom DiFerdinando’s full 137-minute presentation on the physical evidence for orgone, recorded live at the 2026 Energy Science & Technology Conference.

REICH WAS RIGHT? That is the question on the preview. DiFerdinando answers it with instruments. James DeMeo put distilled water inside an orgone accumulator with no contact between the water and the walls. When he ran it through a spectrograph afterward, the water showed a UV absorption signature in the 240 to 280 nanometer range and fluorescence in the blue, 300 to 500 nanometers. Untreated distilled water showed neither. DiFerdinando puts those spectra beside the same signatures from exclusion zone water, storm water, snow melt and DNA solutions, and asks what the accumulator did.

DiFerdinando is President and Director of the Orgone Biophysical Research Laboratory, which Dr. James DeMeo founded, and he worked beside DeMeo for twenty years, about a month a year, until DeMeo’s death about four years ago. He is the one making DeMeo’s archives available to scholars. He opens with how Wilhelm Reich’s story ended: arrested, jailed, his books and journals burned by order of the FDA. “You know your stuff is really on target if they arrest you, put you in jail, and burn your books.” Then he spends two hours on the part of Reich’s work that was instruments, photographs and repeat measurements, not the part people argue about.

The talk is built so you can check it. The bion experiment he says “Anybody can do this. This isn’t like magic or anything.” The thermistor data runs 24 hours a day against a control. The interferometer data is “hundreds of thousands of readings over a couple of years.” Where the question is open, he says so.

WHAT YOU’LL SEE IN THE FULL PRESENTATION

  • Reich’s bion experiment, as you can do it: grass in water under a microscope, watched for days, and the blue pulsating vesicles that form at the edges. Then the time-lapse footage, and why DiFerdinando says the motion is not Brownian: heating or cooling the water does not change it the way Brownian motion should.
  • Quartz sand into bions: sand from a quarry, examined at DeMeo’s lab, breaking down into the same blue vesicles. “All you got to do is look under a microscope and put anything under there and watch water turn it into energy.”
  • The tadpole’s face before the face: university researchers tracing bioelectric signals leave the camera running overnight, and a line of energy traces the face of the embryo before the face forms.
  • Reich’s x-ray of his own hands: plain bones first, then after rubbing the hands together a field shows up around them.
  • The electroscope and the vacuum tube: an electroscope that discharges slower inside an accumulator than in the control; Reich’s tube, charged in an accumulator for months, glowing pink then full blue under a slight voltage; DeMeo’s replication, a charged tube made to flash by stroking it, caught in a 20-minute time-lapse.
  • Heat where there should be none: DeMeo’s 24-hour thermistor runs, accumulator against control on a rotating mount in a shielded shed, and the low-humidity August 2004 day when the temperature peak relative to the control came at noon, not at four in the afternoon, with a second pulse just after midnight.
  • Four years of seed sprouts: matched mung bean trials at workshops, four years in a row, with the sprouts in the accumulator “like nearly doubled.”
  • Dave Marett’s life energy meter, live: a solid-state version of Reich’s field meter. A magnet on a string, a heat source, static electricity and light move nothing. A hand moves the needle at a distance without touching the plate. A crystal reads about 8%. A lemon reads far higher. “So the inorganic material is very low. Organic materials are high.”
  • Two waters on the meter: an audience member’s distilled water reading “way more energetic” than grocery store bottled water, and Marett’s account of the newer method that reads water regardless of mineral content.
  • The spectrograph: DeMeo’s distilled water in the accumulator, the 240 to 280 nanometer absorption and the 300 to 500 nanometer fluorescence, against untreated water and against exclusion zone water, storm water, snow melt and DNA.
  • Sidereal time: Dayton Miller’s interferometer on Mount Wilson, hundreds of thousands of readings, a pattern that appears when the data is plotted by sidereal time and vanishes by civil time, and the 17 independent researchers, Reich among them, who found the same movement through space. “This is from doing hundreds of thousands of readings over a couple of years. You don’t get any better than that.”
  • DeMeo’s gravitor, on video: archival footage from Green Springs, Oregon, dated December 16, 2019, of DeMeo’s Townsend Brown gravitor replication turning with “no visible means of propulsion.”
  • The World Behavior Map: DeMeo’s study of more than a thousand subsistence cultures from a hundred years of ethnographic records, a 95% correlation across the behaviors he mapped, pointing to an origin about 6,000 years ago in the deserts of the old world. “This is a pattern in the data. This is a genuine discovery.”
  • The Q&A: why the accumulator is always a box (DeMeo tried 10 or 12 shapes, pyramids, cones, a ball; the cylinder and square did best and “it wasn’t dramatically different”), what the detector filters out, and the Hubble deep field: “there’s nothing random there.”

A laboratory claim, not a philosophy

DiFerdinando keeps coming back to what can be put between the claim and the viewer: a microscope, a camera, a thermistor, a spectrograph, an interferometer, a meter. He is blunt about what he thinks the evidence shows and about what happened to Reich, and he gives you the data he thinks deserves another generation of testing.

Untreated distilled water against accumulator-exposed water

DeMeo’s spectrographic work: distilled water charged inside an accumulator with no contact develops a UV absorption signature at 240 to 280 nanometers and blue-range fluorescence at 300 to 500 nanometers. The untreated water does not. DiFerdinando shows the spectra and the comparison set. He presents it as DeMeo’s measurement, repeatable with the instruments named, and nothing more than that.

“The orgone’s been physically objectified and demonstrated. You can see it, feel it, measure it, photograph. All those things have been done.”

Then the clock changes from civil time to sidereal time

The second hour widens out. Miller’s interferometer data on Mount Wilson looks like noise against the wall clock and becomes a pattern against the stars. DiFerdinando says Reich found the same thing, and so did about a dozen other researchers. Then DeMeo’s gravitor turns on camera. Then the World Behavior Map puts the same thinking onto a century of anthropology and finds a 95% correlation. You do not have to accept the frame to see that the data is there. “Without factoring in the energy and the armor, we will mistake our placeholder concepts for the truth.”

“Okay, dark matter is a placeholder for the orgone.”

“This is just a direct demonstration of Reich’s technology put into a real machine, and it can actually do it.” Dave Marett, ESTC 2026

Dave Marett’s meter is the part of the talk you watch rather than hear about. The ruling-out comes first: magnet, heat, static, light, no response. Then a hand, then a crystal, then a lemon, then two waters, with the needle on camera each time. The Q&A gets into what the detector does and does not respond to, and which parts of the current work he keeps to himself.

Who this is for

The reader who has had Reich dismissed to them for years and wants to see the actual photographs, traces and spectra. The experimenter who built an accumulator and never knew what could be measured around it. The physicist who is curious why interferometer data would sort itself by sidereal time. The person who watched a bion video online and wants the man who worked beside DeMeo for twenty years to walk them through it. The researcher who wants to know what DeMeo left behind and where the work stands now.

You do not need a lab. Most of the talk is photographs, footage and plotted data, and the one experiment he urges on everyone needs a microscope and a blade of grass. Is it just theory: a thermistor run, a spectrograph, an interferometer, a meter on camera, a motor on video. Why 137 minutes: Reich’s history, five separate lines of physical evidence, a live meter demonstration, DeMeo’s archival film, the anthropology, and the Q&A. The MP4 is yours to keep.
